Puzzle BB-3.  BASEBALL

In the top of the ninth inning, fast ball pitcher K. K. Casey faced 4 batters and struck out all of them.  However, his opponent scored one run.  No pitching substitution was made in that inning.  Is there any wrong statement in this paragraph?  If not, give a scenario on what happened?

Bits and Beyond ...

WHIP

Walks plus Hits per Inning (WHIP) is the average of a pitcher obtained by dividing the total number of hits and bases on balls allowed by the pitcher by his total number of innings pitched. For example, if James allows 136 hits and 63 bases on balls in 150 innings, his ratio is 1.33 or ((136+63)/150).
