Solution to Puzzle 7.  SQUARING A RECTANGLE

Imagine that the RECTANGLE is subdivided into smaller rectangles of size 5 cm. (horizontal measurements) by 4 cm. (vertical measurements).  Each smaller rectangle is colored as follows: 

Cut the rectangle along the boundary of the two colored regions shown above.  You would end up with two pieces:  a green piece and a pink piece.   Rearrange the two pieces into a square as shown below:
